This fall sauce is great with pork, chicken or turkey. Many uses for this. You can even substitute huckleberries or blueberries.

Yield: 4 - ½ Pint jars

Ingredients

Elderberries, cleaned and de-stemmed
|

|
Plum brandy (Koenig)
|

Sugar

Sterilized canning jars, rings and lids

Heat the berries and brandy over low heat until the juices begin to flow. Add the sugar, stir and cook until the combination starts to boil and the sugar crystals are dissolved.

Simmer, stirring constantly. Using an immersion blender, break up the berries "somewhat". Simmer until all the juice has been extracted.

Immediately, put into canning jars, close with tops and rings and listen for the jars to seal. Enjoy with your favorite meals.
